If any modification has been applied to the cell-phone after our test, available functions may be different from the content listed here. This does not guarantee that all units of the same cell-phone model will offer the same result. Refer to the cell-phone's instructions for details. All characters may not be displayed in all cases.
For example on certain cell-phones, making a call via KENWOOD head unit is possible only while the cell-phone's display is showing the standby screen. Please check the operation of your cell-phone in advance.
In this case, try again after confirming the settings of your cell-phone or turning the power off and then turning on again for both the KENWOOD unit and your cell-phone. Even if "Ringing Tone" is set to "In Phone", the ring tone that is heard when receiving a call may not necessarily be identical to that set on the cell-phone.
There may be cases where voices cannot be recognized easily or operation is not stable depending on the cell-phone model or environment in a car. Terminate the transfer-wait mode from the receiver when maximum memory capacity is reached, the receiver will automatically terminate the transfer-wait mode.
Unrecognizable characters will be skipped; make sure the correct number has been displayed before making a call from the phonebook. In this case sound quality is low. The Audio file, which is not conforming to the specification, may not play normally, or the file and folder names may not display correctly.
If the extension is attached, the file, which is not the Audio file, will play and outputs a loud noise, causing damage to the speaker.
You may be able to set the playing order by writing the play sequence numbers such as "01" to "99" at the beginning of the file name. Where to Buy.
HighLights Features Specs Support.Remember Me? First Lieutenant. I honestly hate to post something that seems like it's so simple. Red blinking LED on front was going, but nothing would fire up.
This tells me that I have constant power and ground, but no remote power to turn the unit on. I pulled it out, checked my harness for any shorts with an Ohm meter. Then also checked for good continuity in all my power and ground wires.
Everything checked fine. I also checked the fuse on the back of the head unit since everything seemed fine in my harness. Re-installed the stock headunit and it operates fine, so I obviously have remote power up to the cars stock harness.
This indicated to me that the headunit was toast, I emailed the place I bought it, told them what I did and what I checked, they agreed it was probably no good, so I shipped it back for warranty.
The store checked it themselves and they claim it is operating fine, so it is now being shipped back. So WTF could be holding me out here?? I am using the Metra harness which is all soldered to the Kenwood harness. Any ideas?? Cause I feel retarded right now. This certainly isn't my first rodeo, and I have never had an issue like this on any other installs I've done.
Appreciate 0. Lieutenant General. Did you look at this? Originally Posted by ctuna. In the diagram he finds a constant 12 on the Fuse board. Yellow wire going to fuse holder board.

And I notice it bypasses the harness. So you have to run a independent constant 12 volt line, did you do that? You might also note the harness does not tap the low level signals that the amp needs after I pointed that out to him he did something to correct it. Last edited by ctuna; at PM. I've since re-wired it so that the switched power comes on as soon as I insert the key into the slot, but the Metra harness did not work that way out of the box, needed to run a separate switched wire to somewhere under the steering column.
Did you check to see if your Kenwood powers up if you turn the car on? Originally Posted by Alii.
